    error 0xc0000221 after RAM upgrade


    error 0xc0000221 after installing 64gb ram then goes into a black screen loop after every boot. Put the 32gb ram back in and system works fine. Crucial website says my system supports 64gb. Old RAM is Corsair Vengeance 32gb 3200 and new RAM is Corsair Vengeance 64gb 3200. It's driving me mad!

    ntoskrnl.exe error code 0xc0000221 BSOD

    Hi all,

    Just built a new X99 system

    All working as should be, but noticed my RAM was only set to 2133mhz, so off to the Bios to turn on XMP

    This turned up my RAM to 3000mhz, Perfect! The speed they should be

    But now Windows wont load, I get a Blue error page saying, missing or errors in ntoskrnl.exe error code = 0xc0000221

    The auto help fails, so i turn off my PC back to Bios, turn off XMP and windows loads normally.....

    HELP..... :-(

    Motherbaord = MSI X99A SLI Plus

    CPU = i7 5820k

    RAM = G.skill ripjaw 4 (F4-3000C15Q-16GRR) 32gb

    OS = Windows 10 Pro

    I upgraded from Win 7, I dont have any win10 disks or USBs

    Error code 0xc0000221

    In that case, kindly follow the steps provided by Kalpana Shankarappa on this

    link     and see if the recovery options in Windows would resolve the issue.

    Video card or RAM need upgrading?

    Memtest: no errors after 10 hrs.
    I'm going to perform the Primetest, later on. Get back to you on that.
    I'm going to take it step by step, guys. I need to find the problem with this current computer. I might have to upgrade some components, so that it is still runnable. As for the new one, yes....i will build on it later. I need to find something decent 'gaming experience', all suggestions appreciated. THanks.
