Windows 10: Error 0x87E00017 after trying to reinstall MSFS from Microsoft Store

Hi, I first downloaded and played MSFS in no time. It was installed on disk D:. Then yesterday it stopped working. Every time I launched the game, I had a black screen. So I uninstalled the game and tried to reinstall it on disk D: and also same problem if I try on disk C:. But now, I can't download it from Microsoft Store, because I got error 0x87E00017. I hope you can give me any help!

I first downloaded and played MSFS a few hours “normally”.

It was installed on the D: disk.

Then two days ago, it stopped working. Everytime I launched the game, I had a black screen.

So I uninstalled the game, and tried to reinstall it (on the D: disk, but same issue if I try on C: disk).

But now, I can’t download it from the Microsoft Store, because I got the error 0x87E00017.

I tired quite everything I found, and nothing worked… But if you have some ideas, I’ll try it !!

I'm here to help you.

You are likely having permission errors with the WindowsApps folder on that drive (check this by going to the directory and trying to open the folder - if it doesn't allow it, this may be your problem).

First, open the folder's security tab and change the owner yourself (change it to your username and use "check names" to verify).

Also check for "replace owner on sub containers and objects" and then apply.

Try to access the folder, and now you should be able to.

Go back to the security tab and replace it as owner back to "Trusted Installer" (use the exact name: "NT Service \ TrustedInstaller" and check it to verify).

"Replace owner in sub containers and objects" and then apply.

Now try installing the app / game in that directory and it should be fine. You may need to cancel and restart the previous installation.

Can I reinstall Msfs 2020

Can I reinstall Msfs 2020 that I got from the play store? I installed it on my old computer but wasn't satisfied by my performance. I had a new computer built and my SSD installed into that one. When I tried to launch it, I get error code 0xB03F8001.
