Windows 10: Epson XP 340 printer

Screen stays on "Ink our Error". Can't switch to another screen/settings. I replaced ink; still has error message.

Windows 10 and printer -scanner Epson xp-340 Not Scanning "communication error"

I just purchased a new Microsoft computer Windows 10. It will print to my Epson XP-340 scanner however, the XP-340 says "communication error check connection" when I attempt to scan. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

 

Epson XP-340 Printer

I recently changed to a new Epson printer Cathie and I was very perturbed when it blew through ink like wildfire, used the Photo Black instead of regular black improperly. Contacted Epson and they kindly replaced the printer for me, sending a new one out.
However, without ink in each of the color cartridges, regular black/grayscale will not work. So even if you only want to print black, apparently too bad, so sad....we are forced to have all colors functional. Mine is an XP-6000, a "small in one"....which I
wrongly interpreted as an "all in one" but it has no fax. My last Epson was a workforce and it was fabulous, but the new ones were not inspiring when I checked reviews. Good luck!

Please try the steps recommended below to uninstall printer software

Option 1: Run the Printer Troubleshooter -

Option 2: Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer

A. Uninstall the Printer

Windows Key+X > Apps and Features / Programs and Features

Select your printer.

Select Uninstall.

Windows key+R, type control, hit Enter

Open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose Delete or Remove Device

Windows Key+R, type Cmd, hit Enter

Type printui.exe /s > OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers.

B. Install the Driver

Go to the Printer manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers

Reinstall the Printer driver

Reboot the computer
