i cant play empire earth game in windows 10, it freezes while playing

Empire Earth II & Empire Earth II: The Art of Supremacy

Hi, I have a problem with the inclusion of
games Empire Earth II
and Empire Earth II: The
Art of Supremacy for
Windows 10.Does anyone know how you
can enable these games? I
tried through compatibility Windows
XP SP3 but it does not work.Maybe someone knows how
to fire up these games?

Even with the problem solver program and (manual) compatibily mode, the game freezes after some proceedings. The game starts perfectly, the game menu as well, but when I am in the game itself, everything freezes. I can't even close the game with 'task management'
(ctrl+alt+delete) and have to completely sign out. I would contact the game developers, but they unfortunately (Sierra/Stainless Steel Studio's) don't support the game anymore.

I've also checked the game at the Windows Compatibility Center, but Empire Earth as well as Empire Earth Gold are assigned as 'compatible with Windows 10'. Quite strange...

Can you help me further? I would suggest you to install the game by yourself an test it. There is a free download on the following link. http://empire-earth.nl.softonic.com/

Is there a way in which Empire Earth can work on Windows 10?

Empire Earth (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_Earth) doesn't work on Windows 10, neither on Windows 8 or 8.1. The latest version where Empire Earth could be run on was Windows 7. Is there a way out to ever play this game?
