Windows 10: Edge 407 without asking for credentials behind system proxy

Hello,I'm behind a corporate full tunnel vpn.I also have a windows automatic proxy setup with setup script always corporate.When I open edge after I connect to vpn for the first time or after i clear all browser data, it always asks for proxy credentials with a windows credentials popup even if I have credentials stored in windows credentials manager.When I open edge for the second time, every page returns 407 proxy auth required.It's like it saves the credentials but incorrectly credentials are always the same.What can be the problem ?Thanks

Proxy Credentials Have to be Entered for Every TAB

• Which credentials are you referring to?

Method 1:

I suggest you clear the Clear browsing data option
of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

• Click on the more actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Edge.
  
• Select Settings and click on
  Choose what to clear.
• Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files
  and click on Clear.

Method 2:

If you are using any Proxy connection, then try disabling the proxy connection and check.

Follow the steps to disable proxy:

• Press Windows key + R and type
  inetcpl.cpl
• Click the Connections tab, and then click
  LAN settings.
• Check the box next to "proxy server for your LAN".
  
• Click on OK to save the setting and close window.

Windows 11 browser http error 407

Normally, the HTTP 407 Proxy Authentication Required client error status response code indicates that the request has not been applied because it lacks "valid authentication credentials" for a proxy server that is between the browser and the server that can access the requested resource.

You're on a proxy? Or no?

 

An APP is asking for to the proxy data.

I suggest you to follow the steps and check for the issue.

Disable proxy server settings:

• 
  Go to the Start Screen.
  
• 
  Press Windows+ I to view the
  Settings.
  
• 
  Select Internet Options.
  
• 
  Click on Connection.
  
• 
  Click on LAN settings.
  
• 
  Uncheck all the listed items in the proxy and Auto Detect.
  
• 
  Save the Changes.
  
• 
  Restart your system.
  

If the above steps does not help disable proxy manually.

• 
  Press Windows key + R, Type
  control and click on OK.
  
• 
  Under Settings go to Network.
  
• 
  View connection settings.
  
• 
  Click on Network tab.
  
• 
  Proxy - turn
  off proxy.
