    dwm.exe crashes with faulting module KERNELBASE.dll


    Hello, I am sorry if this is a long question but I am seeking help with more experienced users. I am running into an issue I can't seem to fix no matter what actions are taken. Couple days ago I booted into Windows 10 to be greeted with a black screen where only my cursor is visible, however the cursor seemed to always reset its position in the middle of the screen To clear things up, Winlogon didn't even start and I wasn't prompted to login. Since I am unable to interact with the system at all and I couldn't even enter into safe mode I used an Linux system to read event log files using evtx

    OK I tried the steps you gave me and the system found no errors. When I tried to run the app again, I get the same error as before

    Recently I have been getting multiple crashes caused by d3d11.dll and I have no idea how to fix the problem. Here is an example of one of the crash logs:
