Duplicate monitors with different resolutions no longer working/an option.

I have a duel monitor setup. I have a monitor running at 2560x1440main monitor. I have a monitor to the right running at 1920x1080secondary.I have a wacom cintiq which runs at 1920x1080 that I use from time to time. Up until a few days ago I had it set up so that when I switched the wacom cintiq on it would be duplicated from the main monitor. So the main monitor runs at 1440p and the cintiq is mirrored running 1080p. Without any system changes this is no longer the case. I cannot choose to duplicate the main display at all. The option isnt available. The ONLY way I get this option to eve

  2. Setup 2 monitors with different refresh rate in duplicate mode

    Hi, СуминНикита

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Unfortunately, running two monitors with different refresh rates in duplicate mode may cause some issues. Duplicate mode essentially mirrors the exact same image on both screens. Since the refresh rates differ between your monitors, Windows will default to the lowest common refresh rate to ensure compatibility, which in your case is 120Hz.

To run programs or games at 144Hz on your internal monitor while duplicating the display on your external monitor, you may need to utilize third-party software that can manage this kind of setup, but it may still lead to graphical issues or performance anomalies.

Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Set Primary Display:
      • Right-click on the desktop and select “Display Settings.”
      • Scroll down to “Multiple displays” and select “Duplicate these displays” from the dropdown menu.
      • Choose the monitor you wish to set as your main display and check the box that says “Make this my main display.”
    2. NVIDIA Control Panel (if you have an NVIDIA GPU):
      • Open the NVIDIA Control Panel by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting it from the dropdown menu.
      • Go to “3D Settings” > “Manage 3D settings.”
      • Under the “Global Settings” tab, find the “Preferred refresh rate” option and set it to “Highest available.”
Please note that these steps may not fully resolve the issue due to the inherent limitations of running duplicate displays with different refresh rates. It’s generally recommended to use monitors with the same refresh rate for the best performance.

Set different resolution on each monitor when duplicating displays

This was all already set, but still not working.

Maybe, you did not understand me: I want to duplicate the displays, I don't want this like a dual monitor setup. The only problem when duplicating displays is that the resolution has to be the same?

Because when I set to duplicate displays, it works, but only the resolution is the problem as the laptop display is NOT 4k and the tv is...

    thank you!

Duplicate monitors with different resolutions no longer working/an option.

Windows 7 - Cannot duplicate the monitor to my Samsung LCD

    Hello, everyone!
I'm trying to duplicate a monitor to my Samsung LCD but Windows 7 says that it's unable to save the changes each time I click APPLY after selecting DUPLICATE screens option. WIN+P also doesn't work - I can only see what's going on either on my pc monitor (in Projector Only mode) or TV (in Computer Only Mode).

Both TV and monitor are using 1920x1200 resolution and they are connected via HDMI 1.4, Graphic Card is MSI Radeon 6950.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
