Windows 10: Drivers issue Ryzen / asus hero crosshair VIII wifi

Hi,

PC spec: Windows 10 version 20H2
AMD Ryzen 3700x
Asus Crosshair Hero VIII wi-fi
BIOS version: 3401

Since last windows update. I had issue again with high latency like when I bought all my pc parts. Solved the problem a year ago by installing drivers manually.

This time I'm trying to install new drivers provided by AMD directly and the others drivers that Asus have linked for my Crosshair VIII wi-fi motherboard.

There is something strange happening, I extracted the drivers for the Intel Ethernet driver of my motherboard for example. When I click AsusSetup.exe I get the pop up asking If I authorize this app to make chance to my device, I click yes and nothing happen.

I get this same issue with most drivers.

Also when I run the AMD_chipset_software from AMD. The software show me 5 drivers to install. I install them, reboot. Rerun the same software, it still show me 5 drivers to install. Is this normal? Screenshot - 9a3659d79cc5544148fb602f93bb9518 - Gyazo

Is there a software online that I could download and make a report of all my installed drivers version so I could compare with drivers version I am trying to install.

Asus Crosshair VIII drivers Question

I basically agree with "NavyLCDR", except I'd get the drivers from the Asus web site (ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Driver & Tools | Motherboards | ASUS USA) in preference to using a CD. The motherboard is new enough that the stuff on the CD is probably not very old, but it's easy enough to download the needed things.

About the only things I see there that I wouldn't bother with are WinRar (it's just a time limited demo) and the AMD RAID drivers (unless you are doing RAID). The BIOS update is more risky, although I haven't had a problem with one since my first UEFI motherboard a few years ago.

 

ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero Motherboard Packaging Teased

Leaks surrounding motherboards based on AMD's upcoming X470 chipset, which will accompany its first-wave of Ryzen 2000-series "Pinnacle Ridge" processors, are on the rise. We now see a fairly clear picture of the retail packaging of ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Crosshair VII Hero, specifically its "WiFi" sub-variant that includes a WLAN card. This board surfaced on benchmark database listings. There's no product image on the box, but the logos make things pretty cut and dry - AMD X470 chipset, socket AM4, support for NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFire; ASUS Aura Sync RGB LED management, and an unchanged Ryzen logo. We have confirmation of ASUS readying at least two ROG motherboards based on the X470 so far - the Crosshair VII Hero, and the Strix X470-F. It remains to be seen if the chipset also gets the company's coveted ROG "Extreme" treatment.
