    hello everyone,here are the pertinent details:windows 7 proalienware 1764-bit/16 GBcurrent stats:C: 114 GB free of 921 GBD: 10.4 GB free og 10.5 GBreason for archaic OS: the laptop came from dell brand new, loaded w/windows 10 pro/ultimate/etc.this was years ago and windows 10 had just come out, bugs and all.i downgraded as there were too many conflicts w/chrome and i rely on that browser + apps for my work and day-to-day.now, i cannot upgrade to 11 as i'm on 7 and not 10.=============a couple of weeks ago, an HDMI cable, already plugged into the TV, was then plugged into laptop.the laptop scr

  3. Issue with black screen, dual display, ATI Integrated GPU

    Hi,

    I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1: I suggest you to go to device manager and disable the display drivers, check whether the issue persists or not.

    • Press Windows + X keys and click
      Device manager.
    • Click to expand Display adapters, right click the second adapter and click
      Disable.
    • Restart the computer and check whether the issue persists or not.
    • Repeat the same steps to disable the first display adapter and check if it helps.

    If you find the issue is with anyone of the display adapters then, I suggest you to update the display drivers from the manufactures website for Windows 10 and check if it helps.

    Method 2: I suggest you to follow the steps form the below article for

    AMD Switchable Graphics in Windows 10: no HDMI + black screen in games

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    I understand that HDMI is no being detected and you are unable to run some games as it displays black screen.

    I suggest you to connect the HDMI cable and run
    the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter and check if it helps.

    • Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • Select View all on the top left corner.
    • Click on Hardware and Devices.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
    • Check if issue persists.
    For the game issue, I suggest you to
    uninstall and reinstall the display driver and check if it helps.

    • Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
    • In the list of devices, you should see the Display Drivers.
    • Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
    • In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
    • In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes
      option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.
