Windows 10: Dragon Version 12 install

I purchased Dragon Naturally Speaking Version 12 a few years ago and kept the url and key if i ever needed it. well when i laptop crashed i tried using the url to install and was not able to apparently this version is discontinued. Is there anyway i can install v12 on new laptop without having to buy the software over again.

Microphone connection with Dragon 13 and Windows 10

Hi Michael,

One of the possible cause to this issue is compatibility conflict. Some user reports that the latest version of Dragon 13 doesn't require Compatibility mode in order to run correctly. We suggest turning off Compatibility mode by following the steps below:

• Locate Dragon 13 shortcut and right click it.
• Select Properties from the list.
• Click on Compatibility tab and locate Run this program in compatibility mode for and uncheck it.
• Click OK to save the changes and try running the application again.

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

1.
Insert the DVD

2.
Run compatibility from Windows explorer.

3.
Select "not listed"

4.
Browse to Dragon DVD and select the setup.exe file

5.
Run the compatibility mode in default mode (Windows selects a solution)

6.
A Window will open with "Compatible with Windows 8"

7.
Type on "Test" (this will run the setup.exe in compatibility mode)

8.
The Dragon 13 install Wizard will open, and you can start the Dragon 13 installation,

9.
You will be able to do the complete set-up in Windows 10, and it works

Windows 11 ARM and Dragon

Try uninstalling Dragon in Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, restart PC to reinstall a fresh download of Dragon.

If your version is too old then you MUST use the latest installer and version. The one you are using is generating errors from 2010-12 which is over a hundred years ago in computer years.
