Windows 10: Drag and Drop Feature removed from photos how to fix it?

Suddenly Drag and drop feature is removed. Really?After viewing the image we had option to just drag and drop image to other place but now its not happening.Pls bring this feature back.

the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.

How do I turn the sort feature off in OneNote, so I can drag and drop documents? Or, is there another fix if the drag and drop feature stopped working?

If you’re experiencing issues with dragging and dropping documents in OneNote. Just to set your expectations that we have limited tools for checking your account, subscription, and service details in Community.

Allow me to ask:

1. What error message are you getting?
   
2. Was this working before?
   
3. What version and edition of Office do you have installed in your device? Example: Personal/Family/Enterprise?
   
   • You can open any Office apps
     
   • Go to File > Accounts - on the right side you can see Product Information
     
4. Is this happening to other devices, applications, and networks?
   

There are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

1. Check the Sort Feature:
   
   • By default, OneNote allows you to rearrange sections and pages by dragging and dropping them. However, if you want to disable this feature, follow these steps:
     
     1. Open the notebook containing the sections or pages you want to sort.
        
     2. Drag the section or page tabs to the positions you desire.
        
     3. If you have multiple notebooks, you can also change the order in which they appear in your Notebooks list.

2. Verify Drag-and-Drop Functionality:
   
   • Since you mentioned that you’ve reinstalled OneNote without success, let’s ensure that drag-and-drop functionality is working correctly on your system:
     
     • Restart your Surface Pro: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve issues related to drag and drop.
       
     • Check Mouse/Touchpad Settings: Ensure that your mouse or touchpad settings are configured correctly. You can access these settings in the Windows Control Panel.
       
     • Update Drivers: Make sure your system’s drivers (especially for the touchpad or mouse) are up to date. Visit the manufacturer’s website or use Windows Update to check for driver updates.
       
     • Test in Other Applications: Try dragging and dropping files in other applications (e.g., File Explorer) to see if the issue is specific to OneNote.
       
     • Run OneNote as Administrator: Right-click on the OneNote shortcut and choose “Run as administrator” to see if this resolves the problem.
       
3. Check for Windows Updates:
   
   • Ensure that your Windows 10 operating system is up to date. Sometimes updates include fixes for compatibility issues.
     
4. Reset OneNote:
   
   • If none of the above steps work, consider resetting OneNote to its default settings:
     
     1. Close OneNote.
        
     2. Press Windows + R, type onenote /reset in the Run dialog, and hit Enter.
        
     3. This will reset OneNote to its default settings. Note that it won’t delete your existing notebooks or notes.
