Windows 10: Downloads data deleted after sending computer to get fixed.

I sent my computer to get fixed and when I got it back all of my download folder was completely erased. I am on Windows 11 and everything I have tried to do has not worked. There is nothing in my settings that says updates and security, and a lot of work that was on that folder is completely gone. I have not downloaded any updates. I sent the computer in to fix the battery because it was not charging correctly, which would have nothing to do with any files. How do I get my files back? There is a lot of work that I absolutely need that has been erased. I have looked to see if they are in differ

Help! Data partition not showing under my computer

This is happening on a windows 2000 server. Our second partition of the system, for data is not showing under my computer. Here are the properties of it in disk management:





Now under logical drives its listed as F and shows free space available.

Suggestions on how to fix this?

The question still to be resolved is why is repartitioning the drive breaking the Windows 10 boot?

My whole purpose of doing this is to remove partitions D:, E:, and F: and just have one partition C: on the boot drive. Partitions D: and E: have programs installed on them so I can't just delete them. This is especially true for games because in the past I have had some of them no longer activate when reinstalled too many times.

My next step is to start uninstalling programs on the D: and E: partitions. Once done I can delete these partitions. I can then take the next step and extend C: to fill the whole drive. I can then reinstall the programs that were previously removed. The final step is to bring back the data from the deleted F: partition. This will restored from my external backup drive.

 

recover deleted data???

hey i need a shareware or free ware program to recover deleted data. i have downloaded a few but they require a serial or key to save the recovered data. i am working on a friends computer that they use for thier buisness and some how they have deleted all of thier quicken files. and the computer has crashed witha "load needed dlls for kernel" error. i think i have found a way to recover from the dll for kernel error with out an inplace upgrade but i still need to recover the data. and i cant use any torrent software due to our VOIP router. anyone know of any good software?>???? much appreciated *Big Grin *Toast :toast:
