Windows 10: Download Speed Slow On One PC While Others Normal

Well, as the title suggests, I have an issue with one particular PC (2018 build). The machine is running Windows 10 Home, is fully up all up to date (incl drivers etc.) and I have performed a number of "resets" and reinstalled Windows. It functions normally in all other respects.

To elaborate further, the machine in question can successfully connect to the WIFI network and maintain that connection, however the speed is consistently much slower than any other device when tested, it is also sometimes (not always) more variable or twitchy under testing while the other devices quickly peg at maximum and stay solidly pegged.

At first I thought it was a location issue however the PC is located at a workstation no more than 12 feet away from the router and line-of-sight. It is also sharing the same desk as another PC which is older but which does not have this issue and can repeatedly return two or three times the speed when tested.

The speed on the PC has always been a little slower than everything else on the network but only since upgrading my internet speed did I begin to realize the extent of this problem.

I have moved the PC, I have moved the orientation of the router and I cannot seem to get more than 200Mbps (averages 150) while all other devices (smartphones, iPads, other PC's etc) routinely get at least 400Mbps and often closer to 600Mbps. I have purchased several different USB Plugin adapters including some with antennae and all seem to produce the same result.

If I physically move the machine over to the router and connect via ethernet the speed is maximum and instantaneous but on WiFi it seems the be limited.

I have spoken with the internet service provider (Comcast) who did their usual troubleshooting and they cannot offer a solution since the contracted speeds are being attained by all other devices and I am somewhat reluctant to make any changes that might upset the network for everything else.

How am I testing the speed? I have tested the speed via the Speedtest App, via a browser and using different speed test providers. The results all consistently turn out the same - one rogue PC, everything else fine.

I have done a remote troubleshooting session with the manufacturer which found nothing, although the tech admitted this was not his field.

I did look back through the forum archives here to see if I could find anything and could not so here I am asking for help. I know some of you will be thinking "why the concern?" because the speed is reasonable. Two reasons, one it's what I'm paying for and the machine should be able to realize that speed and two, this is my "heavy-lifting" machine in terms of downloading and uploading.

• I would suggest you to test the speed using any of the speed test website or app to confirm the upload and download speed.
• I also suggest you to reset the wireless router to check if that helps.
  
• You may plug in the Ethernet cable if available and check the speed.

Microsoft store download speeds and windows 10 app load speeds are very slow

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"
