Windows 10: Download speed is awful

So I got a new computer after my last one broke.

It’s a Windows 10, Nitro AN515-54. I5-9300. 8 Gigs of ram. 64 bit.

But for some inexplicable reason, I have trouble downloading some things off the internet.

Note that this computer can download steam games at roughly 1 MB/S off the internet I have when no one’s on, and 200 KB or so when it’s slow.

I tried to download The Doomsday Engine, and it is taking quite some time.

As in, it is downloading at less than 20 KB/S.

Does anyone know what the problem is? I know my internet is slow, but it’s not this slow...

I tried it on multiple browsers. Sometimes, when I try to download a file, it won’t even give me the pop up to choose the download location, saying “waiting for [the site]” to download the file.

I want to fix this, but I don’t know how...

This isn’t just so I can download random things. Sometimes I have needed programs for school, and I sometimes have needed to be able to download files bigger than 100MB. 20 KB/S is not gonna cut it...

Slow Download Speed

Hi,

• I would suggest you to test the speed using any of the speed test website or app to confirm the upload and download speed.
• I also suggest you to reset the wireless router to check if that helps.
  
• You may plug in the Ethernet cable if available and check the speed.

Microsoft store download speeds and windows 10 app load speeds are very slow

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"
