Windows 10: Down arrow key stuck in some programs

I'm having a problem and I can't find an answer anywhere. Running Windows 10 on a Lenovo laptop. I use logitech wireless keyboard and mouse.


In some programs/functions, the down arrow seems to be stuck. For instance, if I click the start icon on the desktop, the cursor automatically scrolls to the bottom. If I click on the search bar at the bottom of the screen, the cursor continuously scrolls through all of the options. If I am in any setting, the screen scrolls to the bottom option and I can't scroll it back up. The down arrow also acts stuck in one of the games that I play, making it impossible to play the game. When I'm browsing the internet, the down arrow works as it should. For instance, as I type this question, there is no problem. I can use the down arrow to move between lines and the up arrow to go back up, line by line.


I have turned off my wireless keyboard to see if maybe it was the problem, but it didn't solve the issue. I was able to open the virtual keyboard, but it doesn't show the key stuck and Scroll Lock did not help. I have not tried any other programs, only what I covered here. This is very frustrating, as I can't even go in to settings to help.


I was able to get into the device manager. I tried to uninstall the keyboard, but it didn't help. After I restart, the keyboard is listed again.

down arrow key stopped working

My razor lycosa down arrow key decided to not respond at some point today. The other ones work and so does the numpad arrow if i turn off the numlock. Sounds like its just broken and im screwed, but any suggestions?

Windows + Arrow Keys Stops working

  What is the make and model of your keyboard?
  

Since you are able to use the other shortcut keys, means that the keyboard works fine. This issue can occur if the
Arrow keys on the keyboard are faulty.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

Try using the Arrow keys on other programs. Check if they are functional.

Most of the sytems have “Fn” key or a Function Lock key. This key can be used to
Enable and Disable the Arrow keys. Check if the
Arrow keys function after toggling the Fn key.

Method 2:

Try connecting a different keyboard to your computer. Try the shortcut keys once again. Check if they works.
