    Does using /copyall on robocopy matter on authority when opening files in linux?


    I'd like to copy photos from computers, cameras, samsung phones to synology nas via "robocopy * * /e /copyall /log+*".What I concerning is /copyall copies all information of files including ownership, which is quite sensitive in linux system, so I could not reach the copied file's authority.

    Hi All,

    I am receiving an error while copying a folder from one server to other server

    the cmd which i am using is

    robocopy \\newft\C$Newfolder \\newft2\C$Jyothsna /COPYALL

    the below error i am getting

    C:\Users\Demouser>robocopy \\newft\C$Newfolder \\newft2\C$Jyothsna /COPYALL

    why is robocopy failing to copy files with long path names

    I thought one of robocopy's great features was the ability to copy long path names?

    I am trying to copy files on a windows 2008 R2 server and everything accept items with long paths are copying.

    I am copying from one volume to another H:\ -> K:\

    does it not work on server 2008? are there certain scenarios where it wont copy long file names?

    robocopy "\\server\k$\Shares\Projects\2020-move" "\\server\h$\2020-move" /S /E /COPYALL /ZB /MT:12 /R:1 /W:1 /TEE /LOG:H:\robocopy\2020-unc.log

    Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?
