Windows 10: Does Microsoft Basic Display Adapter support HDMI?

Hello Comunity?I have a problem with my graphics AMD Radeon R5. With the updated driver the laptop freezes for a second every 3/4 second aaaaaaallllll the time!!!Imagine having a computer that freezes every 3 seconds for 1 second, nonstop. It's very frustrating. You cant do anything!I just realized if I change the display driver to "Microsoft Display Basic Adapter" my computer works "great".However, when I switch to this driver the HDMI port does not work. I gotta use an extended display and with this driver doesn't recognize it.So,Updated driver = HDMI works = the laptop is awful. Basic Ada

Using Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, doesn't support HDMI

Hello,

Frustratingly, unless I use the Microsoft basic display adapter, I can't change my brightness. However, I can't use HDMI with this driver.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

the problem is cannot change microsoft basic display adapter, not getting full screen on display, also seeing a yellow arrow on the adapter in device manager, was able to get full screen when using win xp. how do i fix this problem,

Enable HDMI port with Microsoft Basic Display Adapter

I have an older laptop (Probook 4420s) with a Core i5 430m CPU and the integrated Intel HD Graphics. The laptop is updated to Windows 10x64 1803. It mostly runs well and has a lot of life left.

The exception is the video driver. Unfortunately, Intel does not provide a real graphics driver for this chip for anything later than Windows 7. Windows 8 and 10 are out of luck, except for the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. It currently shows in the device manager as Intel 8.15.10.2900 from Nov 2012, but I've tried many other variants now and all them will only show the Microsoft driver from 2006 in the display properties.

Mostly, the basic software adapter meets my needs. But now I want to use this machine in a situation where I need the hdmi port.

Is it possible to get the basic display adapter to enable that port? Alternatively, is there a hack for installing a real Intel graphics driver for the i5 430m under Windows 10x64?
