Windows 10: Does anyone know what is wrong with my keyboard?

I am on a laptop but i dont use the laptop keyboard i use a different one,on the other keyboard when i press 4,5 and 6 it doesn't work,it presses random buttons on the keyboard not the buttons i pressed.I think I've tried everything,please someone help me with this!

This suggests to me that you are using the wrong "keyboard language" for your keyboard, and that therefore you first step would be to determine exactly what language keyboard you have. Possibly have a look at Windows Keyboard Layouts - Globalization | Microsoft Docs.

(The age of any laptop capable of running Windows 10 at all should not be a problem as regards keyboard layout)

Hi,

To address your concern, we suggest that you try the following steps:

• Click Start and then click Settings
• Click on Ease of access
• Click Keyboard in the left pane
• Turn off Filter Keys in the right pane

Also, try pressing the Fn+ Num Lock keys to turn off the Number lock function.
