Windows 10: Disconnect old employer Microsoft! account from my personal PC and account

Premises:- my personal PC Win11- I am Admin- I am in with my personal *** Email address is removed for privacy ***:- under Account --> Access work and School I still have my OLD work account!!!- it says "Connected by *** Email address is removed for privacy *** , Connected to Microsoft's Entra IDProblem:- Please, delete me from your Entra ID system! It has been now 2 years since I left Microsoft. Thanks.- When I try the "disconnect" button, I enter my @outlook.com email and password but is says that the password didn't work. Duh! I see that, but the psw is correct!

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Personal User Account Hijacked by Microsoft

Be right, wrong or indifferent, I set my PC up to not require a logon. Then one morning when I fired up the PC, all of sudden I had a Microsoft Logon screen requiring a password. I did have an old Passport account, but never really used it, obviously MS hadn't forgotten. My personal PC user account had been completely removed and the only user account was now the Passport account. I know for a fact it was done without my knowledge or concurrence. Any idea how this could occur? Research indicated I could set up a local account and then remove the MS account. However, setting up a local account seems to require the use of a email (Preferably MS, of course) account and password, which I do not want to do. Any suggestions?

 

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown
