Windows 10: Disc clean up Windows 11 not cleaning

    No matter what I do I cannot delete Windows Update cleanup from Disk CleanupI've tried the following to no avail:- Typing in %temp% from Start menu and deleting all contents- Restart- Stop Service "Windows update" to delete SoftwareDistribution folder... it gets recreated.- Restart- Re-enabled "Windows Update"In that orderAnything else I could try?

    Windows Vista Clean Installation

    To do a clean install on a fresh hard drive with Vista on an upgrade disc, you have to follow certain steps. Buying a full install CD would've been easier, but using the upgrade disc only adds more time, so it's not that big of a deal.

    Disc Clean Up

    I have been trying to run disc clean up all day, resorted to help from technician.

    Whatever he did, no difference

    Looks like clean up is working, but does not free up disc space for updates.

    I have Windows 10.

    New Dell Inspiron.

    Never had a problem with disc space on my old computer (Inspiron running Windows XP.

    I can't understand why I have low disc space.

    Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong please?
