Windows 10: Disabling Windows 11 Taskbar Preview--Existing answers don't work!

I have been trying for months to disable the feature in the taskbar that pops up a window that shows the content of the taskbar item. This is so problematic if you are using a program that requires you to access anything in the bottom of the window. Suddenly a taskbar preview shows up and you can't do anything about it but force another taskbar preview to take it's place and hope you can get back to your app quickly enough that you don't miss the button you need to click at the bottom of the screen before another obnoxious preview shows up.The way it SHOULD work is a 15+ second delay before th

Nice, no answers what so ever... still can`t open new notifications, still right-click don`t work on taskbar... and still no answer as to why

 

How to disable Taskbar Thumbnail preview in Windows 10?

Just wanted to disable window preview thumbnail in the taskbar:





This is just the same as How to disable Taskbar Thumbnail preview in Windows 8 ? .

I followed some solutions written in the answer, but none of them seem to work or dont exist registry codes in Windows 10

Any suggestion for this? Better if its not needed to install a program like Taskbar Tweaker

 

Cannot disable Taskbar live preview in 7!

Hi all,

Recently tried out Windows 7 and decided to run it on my other HDD insted of VMware.

I'm trying to disable the taskbar live preview, and I've tried everything I can find:

> Creating a DWORD reg file named "DisablePreviewWindow" value 1 - Didn't work.

> Creating a DWORD reg file named "TaskbarNoPreview" value 1 - Didn't work.

> Local group policy editer "Turn off taskbar thumbnails" and check enable - Didn't work and noticed that it says "Supported on: Windows Vista Only"...

Can anyone tell me if they know how to turn this off it's really really annoying, and more annoying that everything I've tried dosn't work...
