Windows 10: Disable Language/Input Switching Windows + Space

Hello,I’ve been trying to disable the Windows + Spacebar language switcher entirely, but nothing seems to work.Disabling the language bar and input indicator through settings.Disabling the language switch hotkeys in the advanced keyboard settings.Making registry changes as suggested by multiple threads EnableLanguageIndicator, EnableInputIndicator, UseNewLanguageSwitch, and deleting hotkey values in Keyboard Layout\Toggle.Restarting the system after applying these changes.Despite all this, pressing Windows + Spacebar still switches the input language. I need both English and German, so remov

Uninstall primary input language


Hello,
I'm using english-US as display language, but german (DEU) as keyboard input language.

I would like to uninstall the english (ENG) keyboard since the input language switches to english when I hide the unneeded language bar.
It was very simple under win7, but here I did not find the way (remove is disabled). Can you suggest a solution?

I appreciate your effort on this. I understand that you see Norwegian keyboard when you switch between the input languages. As you have checked the installed keyboard languages using PowerShell and didn’t find the keyboard language, I suggest you to
refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if you are able to find the keyboard language:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type lpksetup and click on
   OK.
   
3. Click on Uninstall display languages.
   
4. If you find Norwegian keyboard listed, click on it and click on
   Next.
   
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the language pack.

Problem with switching languages

Hello Katie,

I would suggest you follow troubleshooting steps: remove the other languages installed on your PC except for English and install these languages again:

Press Windows + I

Tap on Time & Language

Tap on Region & language

Select English which you will find under Windows display language the dropdown list

When you are under preferred languages, ensure that English is at the top. In case you cannot find English on top, click on the English language and then click on the up arrow to move up the language.

Remove the other languages installed on the PC.

After that refer to Add an input language which you will find in the article
