Windows 10: DirectX Graphics and Watchdog Driver Causing Crashes on New PC

I've just built a new PC but its super laggy and I have been having consistent crashes and it will just randomly restart after 10 minutes or so in idle. Checking the minidumps in BlueScreenView it says that they have been caused by the DirectX Graphics and Watchdog Driver dxgkrnl.sys, dxgmms2.sys, watchdog.sys. I've replaced my RAM, clean installed windows updating to Win11 and reinstalled my graphics drivers in safe mode with DDU, etc but nothing has worked so far. Stuck on what to do/try next. Specs:Ryzen 7 9700xT-Force Vulcan DDR5 32GB 5600MHzGeforce RTX 4060Ti 16GBGigabyte B650I AX480G

Directx 12 on Windows 10 is gone

Try the following steps and check if it helps:

Step 1:

I suggest you to check the DirectX Version installed on your system.

Follow the below steps to check the DirectX Version:

• Press Windows key + R from the Desktop.
• Type dxdiag and hit Enter.
• Check the DirectX Version.

Step 2:

I suggest you to update the Graphic driver from the Device Manager and check if it works.

Follow the below steps:

• Press Windows + R on the Keyboard.
• Type in devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
• Select Graphic driver from the list.
• Right click on the Graphic driver and click on Update driver Software.

If the issue persists then install the latest graphic driver from the manufacturer and check if it helps.

DirectX directshow crash

• What is the exact error you are receiving when your PC crashes?
• Any troubleshooting steps that you have already applied to fix the issue?

For now, we suggest that you install the latest version of DirectX to see if it resolves the issue. Below is the link on how to manually install it.

Directx Crashes my Graphic Drivers

Hello everyone,

i have the following Problem since a Month.

Sometimes when I play i got a Message from an Directx crash and from that on i got 10-20 fps in every game with any option i made for the Video settings.

But when i Reinstall my Graphic Drivers then the Problem is gone....

So i think that my Directx should be broken =/

I tried the DxDiag but there is no Problem displayed.

Is there an option to reinstall Directx without resintalling the whole Windows 10 ?
