Windows 10: Device USBPRINT\SamsungM2070_Series\9&1636df7b&0&USB001 requires further installation.

On May 20 2018 I posted a thread to say that my Samsung M2070 was reporting an error everytime I tried to scan while using the Samsung Easy Document Creator that was discussed here:

Anyway, I looked around today on the HP website support pages and found this:

HP website Samsung M2070 drivers

I looked under software and downloaded the Samsung Easy Document Creator V2.02.53

I installed this software but which after installation my PC required a reboot which I did.

I opened the newly installed software and at first it did not find my Samsung M2070 printer but clicking the magnifying glass my PC found the printer.

I am now glad to say that the new software appears to be working fine.

Hope this thread help others with the same problem.
PS. I am now also using Windows 10 Pro Version 1803 OS Build 17137.285

19 May 2018 - Got this error after updating Windows 10 Pro to Version 1803 OS Build 17134.48 the other day

• Only the scanner function does not work - printing is working fine

Before the Windows 10 update the printing and scanning function worked fine without any problems.

Now...normal printing works without problem.

I am getting this error when trying to scan something and using the Samsung Easy Document Creator

The scanner function is greyed out and it reports an I/O error while communicating with the device. Please wait and scan again. - See image below.

Tried different USB cables - this does not work.

Tried turning the printer off and then back on - this does not work.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and software - this does not work.

Downloaded the software - M2070_Series_WIN_Scanner_V3.31.38.04.exe and installing this - this does not work

Downloaded the software - M2070_Series_WIN_EDC_V1.06.46_CDV1.25.exe and installing this - this does not work

Sent a Twitter to Samsung who asked me to contact HP and they sent me a message and link:

Connected to HP Website - but the website does not find my printer nor does it accept the printer serial number.Tried to
contact HP by email but cannot find a support email address.

Sent a message via the HP website forms but HP has not replied nor did I receive a ticket number by email.

Not sure what else I can do. - Anyone have any ideas?

 

Epson Stylus Photo R320 seen in Device manager but not in devices\printers

After upgrading to the latest windows 10 release, I no longer can see my Epson Stylus Photo R320 printer in devices and printers, but can see it in Device manager where it says "this device is working properly" but in properties it says "Device USBPRINT\EPSONStylus_Photo_R320\9&1887ba56&0&USB001
requires further installation." I went to the Epson site for a new driver and it states the drivers for this printer are provided by Windows 10. Restarting, removing does not help. Also this is on a USB port which used to work fine before the upgrade.

 

Printer no longer works after Windows 10 upgrade

Printer (a Canon copier-printer-scanner) is shown as installed. It is on the list of devices as the default printer. It is connected via USB port.

In properties it says "Device USBPRINT\CanonMG5100_series\8&3082ee66&0&USB001 requires further installation."

Tried to update driver software online but got Windows message that I have got the correct driver installed.

Not sure what to do. Cannot print at all so would appreciate any help.
