In Windows 7 it is named Ports (COM & LPT) Communications Port (COM1)

In Windows 10 it is named USB <-> Radio Scanner Cable (there is a yellow triangle in front of the letters USB with a ! Inside of it

Values are

USB\VID_0403&PID_6001&REV_0400

USB\VID_0403_PID_6001

I have Win 10 V 1903 installed and I get the following message after installing the latest FTDI drivers: Device FTDIBUS\VID_0403+PID_6001+47514789A\0000 requires further installation

I have installed and uninstalled the latest FTDI drivers numerous times and even though does not indicate the drivers are malfunctioning I get the message in the events tab:

"Device FTDIBUS\VID_0403+PID_6001+47514789A\0000 requires further installation"

This seems to be a common issue but I can't find any solution for V 1903. This is quite the headache!

Those appear to correspond to an FTDI chipset.

You could try the drivers from the following link (2.12.26):

D2XX Drivers - FTDI

There is a link to a setup executable to the right under "Comments" along with installation instructions.
