Windows 10: denied access to files after reinstalling windows.

Hello,I believe this to be a Security and Privacy issue but I could be wrong.I've searched for the following error: "you do not have permission to open this file. See the owner of the file or an administrator to obtain permission" but none of the approaches I've read have helped.I am both the owner of the files and the admin of the laptop.The issue started after I reinstalled windows 10 pro on my laptop. I saved all my files, nearly 126 GB, to an external flash drive prior to the reinstall, same drive I have been using for years now without an issue; unfortunately I failed/forgot to remove t

Denied access to files

Ok I got a pc in from a friend and he wants me to fix it, it doesn't boot up properly so I was thinking reinstall windows but first I have to save all his songs and crap. First problem it denies me access to the files on his HDD when it is hooked up to my pc .... damn. Second problem is that it is a very, very old pc nforce 2 chipset and I can't ID the board so I can't get the drivers. It won't turn on so I can't check it that way any ideas.

 

Access denied to zip file
