I'm having the exact same problem as this poster:

    https://bit.ly/2kQ8SNc

His explanation is identical re: having tried to delete Hightail for Lenovo.

Even the "This feature …..network unavailable." "Click OK......installation package 'AMD64.msi in the box below.

    Use source C:\…………….\E003....\High Tail"

I can't seem to be able to get past the initial post looking for an answer.

    Its a business customer.

Everything the OP tried I also did, even before I found this post.

I tried a System Restore but its still there.

Deleted Hightail for Lenovo and Windows Installer Prompt

    Lenovo Y40

I decided to uninstall some applications on my laptop to free up some space. I uninstalled Hightail for Lenovo and every time I boot up Windows, open File explorer, download and uninstall an application a Windows Installer prompt pops up.

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'AMD64.msi' in the box below."

    Use source: C:\SWWORK\APPS\E003HIUS\High Tail\

Clicking Ok will prompt another window saying it isn't there. I tried downloading Hightail for Lenovo and Hightail Desktop App but it would not find the missing installation package. Even manually using the browse option to find the AMD64.msi file FOR Hightail
for Lenovo would not work. I would close the prompt via cancel or forcefully shut the prompt and it would repeat 3 more times (with a smaller mini, basic, windows installer prompt with only a cancel option three times as well) until it does not pop up again.
It would just be tedious but Windows was still usable and I could still navigate through files.

After a recent Windows patch on August 30th the smaller Installer prompt would remain with only a cancel option after closing the larger, detailed initial prompt. This time the smaller prompt won't go away and the file explorer and desktop will crash with
only the desktop coming back. The reason file explorer will crash is because it pops up anytime I open file explorer, install files, uninstall applications, move files, upload files, and attempt to recycle or delete files. Moreover it also pops up when Windows
    opens up.

I deleted Hightail for Lenovo and Hightail and Hightail For Lenovo Desktop App via regedit from HKEY Current User and HKEY Local Machine and now only the smaller prompt shows up. I cannot foreclose it, cancel it or anything to remove it. It will prevent
me from clicking anywhere to interact with the files explorer.

P.S. I can't upload a picture of what it looks like because of this (otherwise I would) but on the Microsoft Forums someone has the exact same problem as me that uploaded a picture.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

Hightail for Lenovo and Windows Installer

    Hello,

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 on my Lenovo Z40. Once the upgrade was complete I noticed that my computer was running considerably slower, even after multiple restarts. I decided to try and start deleted extraneous apps/programs from the Control Panel/"Uninstall
Program" menu. During the attempt to uninstall things processes were again slow so I was not sure if programs were actually beginning to be uninstalled. I then decided to revert back to Windows 8 and started that process. Once the revert was complete, a
Windows Installer dialog box (attached) kept popping up on my desktop after start up and whenever I tried to open things, whether a program (Google Chrome) or just Windows Explorer. I have tried uninstalling Hightail from the Control Panel and the same dialog
box pops up. I have also tried re downloaded Hightail and reinstalling it, but the install won't finish because it thinks the program is already installed. My theory is that the program partially uninstalled before the revert back to Windows 8 and is in
some kind of limbo. I even tried reupgrading to Windows 10 but that did not fix the problem. Is there a way to fix this or do I need to just reinstall windows from the disc?

    Thanks!
