Windows 10: cutting plotter not connecting

hallo, i am trying to connect a cutting plotter to my hp laptop but the device keeps apperring as unspecified and unknown. on further trial i get to learn that the drivers for his plotter are missing, the plotter is an innovia cutting plotter. someone please help on how i can get the drivers for this plotter. it has frustrated me for day.

hi, i have a cutting plotter which worked on windows 7 but will not work on windows 10 I am using a serial port I've made sure the coms port is set correctly on the print driver I've check the coms port in device manager and am using the Gold cut driver.
if I set it to print direct my pc green screen.if anyone can give me some advice on getting the plotter working I would be extremely grateful

1. The cutter would be Goldcut using PORT: COM 3.

2. All of the cutters, design and cutting software that we carry and sell are compatible with Windows 10. - Source US Cutter

3. 1. Right-click My Computer icon on the desktop, and then select Properties.

2. Click the Hardware tab.

3. Click the Device Manager button.

4. Click the plus (+) sign to the left of Universal Serial Bus controllers.

5. Right-click the device listed under Universal Serial Bus controller and select Uninstall.

6. Click OK to confirm the removal of the device.

Please note, repeat Steps 5 and 6 until all the devices under Universal Serial Bus Controller are removed.

7. Shut down the computer.

CAUTION: Ensure that the Shut Down option is selected, instead of the Restart option.

8. Wait for 5 seconds and then restart the computer. When the computer restarts, a "Windows has detected new or added hardware" message window will open.

The above steps will refresh the USB ports.Now connect the the USB device.

Tip: It is always recommended to connect the main usb devices at the rear end usb port..as they require more power to initaate.
