    Cursor skips around on ASUS laptop


    I am running Windows 10 on my ASUS laptop. When typing the cursor skips around very often. It will jump back into text I've already typed and I have to delete and start back over. What can I do? I have updated the Keyboard and Touchpad drivers. This seems to work for a short period of time, then it starts skipping again.


    Please advise.

    ASUS laptop keyboard's skips keys

    I have an ASUS laptop running Windows 10. Sometimes, when I use the keyboard, some keys are skipped (with a frequency of about 1 key per word). Sometimes it just works perfectly, so I think it is not a wear problem. Same happens with the touchpad (both
    when moving the cursor and when clicking). I already tried to reinstall ATK package and ASUS Smart Gesture package (as suggested by ASUS), but this did not solve the problem. Resource monitor does not seem to show any strange resource usage. How can i identify

    2. How are you trying to connect the headphones to the laptop?
    3. What is the model number of your ASUS laptop?
    4. Are you using a wired or a wireless Bose headphone?


    I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in Connecting To A Computer
    and try connecting your headphones to the laptop.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    Try to run the hardware troubleshooter and check.

    • Type troubleshooting in the search box and hit Enter.
    • Click View all in the search box and type Hardware and Devices and follow the on-screen instructions.
    I suggest you to update the Windows 10 Drivers for Asus touchpad from the manufacturer website and check for the issue.
