Windows 10: CSEnabled

Discus and support CSEnabled in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I got a new to me laptop recently and i can no longer go into control panel and set the power key to turn off my display.     CSEnabled


    I got a new to me laptop recently and i can no longer go into control panel and set the power key to turn off my display. After doing some research into why this is no longer possible... I'm wondering if Microsoft has any intentions on bringing this back? Alternativley, has anybody found a work around for this?

    There is no "CsEnabled" button

    Method 1: Restore plans using Powercfg command



    Try restoring the missing power plans using the Powercfg command.



    1. Press Windows + S key together to open Search.
    2. Now type CMD and select Run as administrator.
    3. Accept the UAC prompts.
    4. Type in the following commands one by one and hit Enter:

      powercfg -duplicatescheme a1841308-3541-4fab-bc81-f71556f20b4a
    powercfg -duplicatescheme 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e

    powercfg -duplicatescheme 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c

    5. Restart the PC.



    Method 2: Change registry settings



    Note: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow
    these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

    1. Press Windows key + R. This will open Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run’
    2. In Run dialog box, type ‘regedit’ and hit Enter.
    3. In the navigation pane, locate and then select the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power
    4. On the right hand pane double-click on CsEnabled DWORD file
    5. Under Value Data change the value to 0
    6.Restart the PC

    I did method 1 but it didn't worked. I can't use DELL VOSTRO 5401 on high performance mode . WHAT SHOULD I DO?

    CsEnabled not Available....

    Hi,

    i think the latest update has removed the CsEnabled option and additional power plans aren't available...

    plz help with it..

    Hi

    Advanced power options went missing after the last update. No processor options, usb, gpu power, etc. The usual fix of CSEnabled in regedit is no longer there. The fan speed is out of control even with the slider bar set to better battery. Any help would
    be appreciated. thanks
