    Crashing WHEA error when playing graphic-intensive games


    Hi, I frequently had this crashes when playing high-graphic games. Latest was experienced when playing Gears 5 and Monster Hunter Wilds, and Black Myth: Wukong.     Whea Uncorrectable Error whenever playing games

    Hi all,

    I have encountered a similar error to a previously posted question on here but since that thread is over a year old, my specs are similar, and no result was seemingly produced from that thread, I'm reposting a new one.

    My PC runs fine when idle and when playing resource "light" games (such as Arma 3, Planetside 2, Stellaris, etc). However, whenever I play graphic intensive games, I hit the same Whea_Uncorrectable_Error @RobertSmith_1998 mentioned in his thread above. I'm downloading 3DMark at the moment and will report the results when I get them. In the meantime, I've ran MemTest86 which passed.

    So far I've suspected it's a temperature issue as my case gets quite hot when playing those sort of games but I'm unsure on how to confirm it. At the moment, the crashes are different on No Man's Sky compared to the other 2 games I see it most on (Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Squad).

    • On the former (NMS), the crashes happen randomly during gameplay
    • On the latter, they only usually happen if I exit the game completely and then try and boot something up within about a minute. If I don't do that, it's usually fine. This is also part of the reason why I think it's temp related as maybe booting something up too fast after an intensive game has been running pushes the PC into the danger zone.
    I've uploaded my Minidumps that were generated after my latest No Man's Sky crash and my specs are below. Let me know if you need anything else or have some other ideas as I'm a little stumped at the moment!

    • CPU = AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
    • Motherboard = ROG Strix X-570E Gaming
    • RAM = 2 x 16GB DDR4 1333Mhz (each)
    • Graphics Card = RTX 3070 Ti
    • Storage = 1x Samsung SSD 860 Evo 1TB (Games Drive), 1x Samsung SSD 850 Evo 250GB (OS Drive)
    • PSU = Corsair CP-9020094-UK RM1000x 1000 W
    • OS = Windows 10 Home Version 21H2 Build 19044.1826
