    CPU usage and temperature spikes when Task Manager is not opened


    It started recently or maybe a long time ago, I don't really know when ever I'm not monitoring my laptop's performance or usage, the CPU usage just rises to around 50% or more and the temperature also rises as you can see in the second picture. Using Core Temp and Armory Crates, I can see the CPU usage and know when it's high. The thing is this happens when my laptop is idle too, even with no program opened, without Task Manager opened or in the background, CPU usage is always high. Please help.This is my laptop's specs and ports:- Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview 22H2 OS Build 23451.1000- R

    CPU and GPU usage at 100% until task manager is opened

    Recently, I have been seeing that my CPU temperature is extremely high (80C) during idle or browsing internet and this changes when I open task manager to check what is using my CPU so much. As soon as i open task manager, my cpu usage goes down from 100% to 6-10%.

    I am familiar with the bug from windows that causes the CPU usage to be at 100% when you open task manager for a split second before it can read the temperature and that's why i use msi afterburner to read my CPU and GPU usage as well as temperature.

    During idle, when my laptop is plugged in and left unattended without task manager open, but with msi afterburner open, my CPU temps go crazy while my CPU usage gets rocketed at 100%. This also happens with the GPU sometimes.

    I have read online about this and someone said it could be a virus that uses crypto mining software to hijack my hardware. This is a big issue as when i am doing my work it constantly causes interruptions if i dont have task manager open.

    I need help to fix this and how to prevent this from happening in the first place I have run multiple virus and antimalware checks which have not changed anything yet.

    100% CPU usage and high temperatures unless i open task manager

    2 Months ago i got a pc and it was running smoothly until 3 weeks ago that i noticed that i was getting 100 cpu usage and temperatures of 60C when my task manager was closed but when i open it my temperatures go back to 40C and usage goes back to 3-5%

    All my drivers are updated

    Windows 10 Fully updated

    Factory reseted 1 day ago

    I5-9400F

    CPU usage spikes up when task manager closed

    Hi, how can i solve CPU usage spiking up when task manager is closed? I already tried scanning for malware with a lot of tools and i tried to start the pc in clean mode to see wich program is causing the issue but even with clean mode boot up the cpu still spikes up. Thanks
