    Constant disk usage when playing games


    When I play games like Valorant or CSGO, my HDD disk usage is constantly spiking, causing drastic FPS drops. It appears that the game itself Valorant and System are the ones causing the disk usage. My disk usage is never at 0% and what's more, is that my Valorant is installed on my SSD, so I don't know why it is using HDD disk usage. This problem started when I updated my drivers recently and formatting my laptop did not solve the problem. I have updated my drivers and windows & other methods but nothing seems to work. Please help.

    Constant 100% Disk Usage, 60-80% CPU usage. Both happen when idle.

    Could you also provide a snapshot of Resource Monitor with selected Disk Activity Tab and checked only System:

    i would also suggest running checkdisk and sfc /scannow

    So there is nothing for you to delete as it is a new computer?

    What are the system requirements for this Game as you say you have 8.1?

    • OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1.
    • Memory: 8 GB.
    • Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 660 2 GB / AMD HD7870 2 GB.
    • Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible.
    • HDD Space: 65 GB.
    and before you guys judge and say my pc isn't new. i do not have much money to buy a very good computer.
