  1. Configure to 2 channel, 24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality) - Not Work

    Hi guys,

I'm new here, and I wanted to see if I can get any help.
I recently purchased a pair of Edifier boxes model R1280DB.
They are connected via optical cable.
    Everything normal, working.

What I found strange, is when I put the following output format:
2 channel, 24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality)
And the sound just doesn't work anymore.

    It works leaving only on:
2 channel, 24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)

I know that there is not much difference in audio quality between the two configurations.
But I use software that requires this 2 channel, 24 bit, 192000 Hz setup (Studio Quality)

I tried to update the BIOS (even though it wouldn't work)
And I reinstalled my Audio driver, which would be: Realtek audio driver V6.0.8971.1

If you have a light, how to help me with this little problem, I would be very happy!

    Thanks guys

    :)

24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality) Sample Rate and Bit Depth not available in Windows 10

The 24 bit 192000 Hz option is available in Windows 7. But is not available in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

('Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Sound - Manage Audio Devices - Sound - 'DENON AVRHD' - Properties - Advanced - Default Format')

Using a new Gigabyte Motherboard Z170x-Gaming 7 and Skylake i5 Processor with all updated drivers and misc. updates.

The 24 bit 192000 Hz option is available and works fine with Windows 7. I have two other hard drives for the same PC: one with Windows 8.1 Pro and one with Windows 10 Pro, and that Sampling Rate is not available. It seems all the lower ones are available.

Should I try the Home version of Windows 8.1 or 10 or can I provide more detailed information?

As information and example, "24 bit, 96000 Hz (Studio Quality)" is available.

    Please help...

    Thank you

24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality) Sample Rate and Bit Depth not available in Windows 10

Is there some way to import the Windows 7 drivers that do work for use in Windows 10 or 8.1?

It seems that as long as a particular audio format (e.g. 24 bit, 192000 Hz) shows up in the pull down list, the media player software (foobar, Kodi, etc.) running in Windows will play the music file. But if the format is not listed, an error is displayed
by the player. Is there a way to trick windows into determining a format is acceptable even if it was deemed not to be by Windows?

Do we know how Windows determines which formats are available within the HDMI-connected AVR? And, perhaps, how that handshake could result in inaccurate results?

audio jack not working with windows 10 on surface 3

I had this same problem with my Surface Pro 2. I fixed it by going in to Headphone Properties \ Advanced and changing the Default Format to 2 channel, 24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality).
