Computer turned REALLY SLOW after unplugging AC from the wall while ON

So my computer WAS extremely fast and very young too! It's about 3-4 months old and I was uploading a 1 hour video to YouTube. My father unplugged the AC plug from the wall (HARSHLY [BY ACCIDENT]) and was left off for a few minutes (7-12 mins). I plugged it back in and signed in. Normally what I do while it's loading the startup applications is drag my mouse cursor and making that highlight box.

(Hold left click, drag mouse, and see a blue highlighted box on the mouse cursor [I don't know what's it called])

I made like multiple boxes in a small amount of time and I realized it was slow. By slow, I mean like laggy. If I make multiple at a small amount of time, it freezes sometimes (not BIG freezes, small freezes). But if I do it calmly, it still freezes, but not that noticeable. I also realized that everything else was laggy. Games, the desktop, and Chrome. So then I restart my computer, hoping it would be just a small glitch, but I still had it. I gave up in a day and reset my computer. Once I reinstalled all my applications and did it overnight, it was EXACTLY like before. Lag happened again! I did a full anti-virus scan from Windows Defender and I realized I downloaded a Trojan. The Trojan came from a CINEMA 4D R18 crack. AND THEN, I saw this application from Microsoft, I believe, called "msert." I tried it and I honestly can't remember what happened.

Again, I GAVE UP. So I "fully reset" my computer. Hoping NOTHING BAD would happen this time. Downloaded the applications again, but this time I didn't download the CINEMA 4D R18 thingy, and YEP, restarted after downloading the last app and I SAW IT LAG. This NEVER happened before when I made this computer.

Computer turned REALLY SLOW after unplugging AC cord from wall (AC FROM POWER SUPPLY

This has solved my problem, either this, or removing the malicious files from my flash drive.

I only suggested to unplug the hard drive while reinstalling Windows to the SSD.

Hello Ajhel and Welcome to TenForuns *Smile

Can you check your SSD with Samsung Magician? -what does it tell you.

Even though Velociraptors are corporate HDDs and difficult to damage (I know, I have 2) they're not indestructible, so test this one too

Western Digital Data Lifeguard Diagnostic Tool Review.

If the 2 tests come up without any issues re-install Windows.

And BTW: we DO NOT provide information on illegal software(s) and such..

Hello! I donwnloaded the Samsung Magician and WDDLD. I updated my SSD's firmware version and the drive condition is "good." I also a ran a performance benchmark:

    Sequential (MB/s)
    Read: 549
    Write: 527

    Random (IOPS)
    Read: 30,282
    Write: 32,530

In the WDDLD I tested both drives and both PASSED in the SMART status.

I restarted my computer after updating the firmware for the SSD, and still lagging.

Can you provide more information about your system?

    Is it DIY or OEM?

The computer is a DIY, but the actual hard drive is a OEM. If that makes sense.

Okay, so I used the Media Creation Tool and kept all my files and stuff. It worked... But like I said before, it might revert back to laggy. I'll update this if it's ACTUALLY SOLVED, or NOT. *Smile

With an abrupt loss of power, first thing to check is is file system as it can get corrupted at that time, specially when it was in the process of writing. I would start with checkdisk.

Have you looked at the power options, such as advanced, it could be using less power for the CPU, etc

Yes I have. Although in the Power Options, I do not know what the Processor Power Management is.

    Maximum processor frequency
    Setting: 0 MHz

    Minimum processor state
    Setting: 100%

    System cooling policy
    Setting: Active

    Maximum processor state
    Setting: 100%

I know it's solved, but still give me more information on ways to remove this. *Smile

I finished a clean installation. Although, when I started off new, I downloaded everything and it was all fine! I was happy that it was fine but the day before it started lagging, I changed the power mode to High Performance mode and when I came back, I had the exact same issue. I don't want to keep doing the "Media Creation Tool" way everytime! *Sad
