Windows 10: compatibility between laptop Asus and windows 11 Pro

Hello, I recently bought a laptop ASUS X515 A516KA, 8GB, 256GB SSDIntelR , CeleronR N4020 CPU @ 1.10GHz 1.10 GHz, 8.00 GB 7.83 GB usable which has Windows 10 active. Since I need word, I want to I am buying a new Windows license and office license Windows 11 PRO with USB stick and Office 2021 Pro Plus Medialess, All Lang, FPP. My question is, will it be compatible together? Won't it slow down the laptop? won't it crash? Is it advisable to buy windows 11 pro for this laptop? If not, what upgrade is possible to do to the laptop? I really appreciate any help you can provide.Kind regards

ASUS Motherboard compatibility


My Asus MB (M4A89GTD PRO/USB3) is about 5 years old. I have successfully upgraded from Win 7 Pro to Win 10. However, running on Win 10 my PC frequently locks up and has to be re-booted. As a result I down-graded to Win 7 and now all is ok. ASUS does not include this board in the list of Win 10 compatible boards but they state that it might achieve compatibility in the future.
I would like to avoid purchasing a new board and removing/replacing my existing board. If there is no way to make my existing board work with Win 10 could you suggest a good replacement AMD board - I am not a gamer.
Any one got a good suggestion.

 

Compability of Asus H97-Pro with Windows 10 (64-bit)


I'm planning to have Asus H97-Pro & Windows 10 (64-bit) in my new system.

While cross checking compatibilty I landed on Windows Compatible Products List
and according to that Asus H97-Pro is only comatible with Windows 7 & 8.

Please suggest whether Asus H97-Pro is actually compatible with Windows 10 or not.

ASUS Motherboard compatibility

I've upgraded older pc's with 11 or 10 year old MOBO's from XP thru Win7 then Win10 with no issues. But I do keep all my drivers up to date regularly. As mentioned by others old drivers can be a problem. Check your BIOS too. While it may not be needed I'd tend to update if there is a new one. Cheers.
