Sometime within the past few months, a very standard behavior suddenly changed on my Windows 10 laptop. I am not willing to reinstall Windows just to fix this problem, so I am hoping someone can point me to a Registry key or some other low-level setting that might revert the behavior to its normal one. When I left-click the Network icon in the System Tray, instead of it popping up a menu list of WiFi access points to connect to, it opens the window you would normally see if you click Settings -> Network and Internet -> Status The right-click behavior is unchanged: It displays a men

I can't open Network & Sharing Center from right-clicking the network icon on the system tray.

Hi there. I am currently using Windows 10 1709, and recently (maybe after some update) I am troubled that I cannot open Network & Sharing Center from right-clicking the network icon on the system tray as before. When I right-click the icon, instead it will
show the option to open the Network & Internet app menu.

I would prefer the traditional control panel Network &Sharing Center where I can adjust adapter settings and check wifi status. In the new app-like menu it is hard for me to get the information I need.

Is there a way to toggle the option back? I really use this shortcut a lot, and now it is useless, which is somewhat annoying. I hope there is a way to help the situation.

    Thanks.

Possible to Reorder Icons in the Network Status from Tray?

If I click the wifi icon or cellular icon in the tray, my options are listed as wifi, airplane mode, cellular, and mobile hotspot.

Is there a way to rearrange these so they are in the order wifi, cellular, mobile hotspot, airplane mode?

System tray network icon displays false status

Has anyone else experienced this? What the system is experiencing is the system tray network icon with a yellow bang and the bubble text indicates there is no internet access, which in truth is a false reading. There is an internet connection otherwise,
I would not be able to log into the support forum to log this question. Is there a way to correct the display of the network icon status in the system tray?

I have seen this false reading before and if memory serves, I was able to correct it by going into the device manager, select view hidden devices and removing the network adapter/s from the list and then doing a reboot and allowing the device manager to
rebuild (correct me if I am wrong).

Is there another solution to this issue? Is there a way to correct this false status display?
