Windows 10: Clean install of win 11 pro

I have a laptop running with a digital licence for Win10 Pro. The laptop originally came with Win 10 home but I upgraded to win 10 pro using a key from a win 7 ultimate dvd.Windows update tells me I can update to win 11 pro from my present install and acquire a digital licence from MS.My potential issue after doing so would be, if I wanted to do a clean Win 11 Pro install after getting the digital licence for win11 pro I suspect the install would read the bios key and install Win 11 home and not Pro. Apparently Win 7 keys are no longer valid for the Win 10 and 11 upgrades.My question then be

Clean Install Workaround for Vista

You may remember this news story on techPowerUp! a couple of days ago relating to the lack of clean installs when using the Upgrade Editions of Vista, which required an old OS to be installed. However, Paul Thurrott has managed to find a workaround for this issue, which ironically lets users do a clean install Vista without any previous version of Windows, albeit a little tedious. Here are the steps:

• Boot from the Windows Vista Upgrade DVD as normal
• When prompted for a product code, leave this blank
• Select the version of Vista you have purchased and let Vista install
• When you boot to your desktop for the first time, run the Vista setup from Windows
• This time enter your product key
• When asked whether you want to do an Upgrade of Custom install, select custom and choose a clean install
• Windows will now install for a second time and you should be able to activate it

Remember, these steps are only advised for use in order to achieve a clean install of Vista, it is only legal to use the upgrade editions if you have previously purchased the appropriate version of Windows.

Installation Win 11 WEIRD behavior

Hi, this is a Windows 11 question. You appear to be referring (though it's not absolutely clear) to a clean install of Win 11. elevenforum.com supports Win 11 - I suggest you register there- you will find many tenforums members there. When you post there, please clarify

That would imply you deleted all partitions of your existing Windows 10 and installed to unallocated space on your disk. Is that correct?

This suggests this is a build customised by HP. Windows normally includes all drivers needed; exceptions can be hardware and features specific to a particular model. There are several threads about not being able to type in search boxes on tenforums with solutions. However, this forum focusses on Win 10. Those threads may help you with that, although you should not be experiencing such problems with a clean install. Feel free to search tenforums for thise threads. Note too your PC is under warranty- so feel free to contact HP support and use their forum.

. Which server? something to do with HP? If so, suggest you refer to HP.

 

Windows 10 Pro Clean Installation

Issue : The Windows 10 Pro Clean Installation on DELL XPS 13 laptop can't be successful. The operating system remains Windows home after passing through the Clean installation process with Win
10 Pro CD.

My Steps: Insert Win 10 Pro CD on the DVD drive

Restart the computer from the CD

Delete all partition and format the HDD

Continue Installation

Result: Installation Completed without asking product Key

Restart The Computer, the OS was not changed. It remains in Win 10 Home- instead of Win10 Pro

Please tell me :

1.If there is a procedure that I missed during the installation Process.

2. Tell me if it is a common problem for
DELL XPS 13

3. Is there any other way for clean installation other than "Upgrade Windows step". I do not want to use the "Windows Upgrade process"
