Windows 10: 'Choose Power Plan' context menu - Add in Windows 10

Discus and support 'Choose Power Plan' context menu - Add in Windows 10 in Windows 10 Tutorials to solve the problem; plan b in lower case. As you see in the reg entry on that there is no dll referenced, it that normal? Discussion in 'Windows 10 Tutorials' started by qcksilver, Aug 31, 2015.

    Sorry about verifying. I just had to make sure. Here's a .reg file below that will add the context menu with "Plan B" in it as well. *Smile

    Something recently came to my attention, I dont know if this is an issue or not. When I use the right context menu to switch power plans, then open power options, the selected plan does not change. Like If I run on High Performance for gaming then change to another plan using the right click context, then open Power Options, it still says High Performance as selected. How can I tell which plan is actually active?

    When I added this new plan the menu added an extra line separator in there.

    Hey @DTG1, *Smile

    I tested the original version in the tutorial in build 16232, and it's still working fine for me.

    You could use the command in step 2 of Option three below to see what your current active power plan is in the command prompt. However, it should be the same as what you see in Power Options.

    If you like, upload your modified .reg file here, and I'll be happy to take a look at it to see if anything may stand out as a cause.
