Windows 10: changing folder optimisation

I have a folder that contains .mp3 files copied from another location. They are not music files.When I open it it shows the filenames with track number, artist etc - which are not relevant.I need to see this kind of view, which I can get by folder - properties - customise - optimise for general itemsbut for some reason if I close the folder it reverts to the "music" customisation.I'm running windows 11 home fully updated, on a home-built PC

Using Windows 10, and 2 (WD My Book) external storage. One I use for only music files (with certain 'Optimise Folder For-'), and the 2nd storage for Movies, Videos, Photos and Documents (with a mix of 'Optimise Folder For-'). How do I stop my PC changing
my Choice of 'Optimise Folder For-' every time I start my PC. Despite several different attempts, my files continue to change at random in which sort of file they are saved as.

Change Folder Icon in Windows 10


I just acquired a new laptop running Windows 10 and am trying to change the icons of the folders in the StartUp "Program" folder so that they would stand out a little better. I used my admin account and followed all the steps listed above, but when I clicked on "Apply", nothing happened. The same basic windows folder icon remained attached to the folder. I also tried to go into Properties and capitalize some of the folder names, but that didn't work either. Looks like something is protecting them, but I cannot figure out what it is much less how to get around this blockage, Any suggestions?
