Change audio balance on G935 headset

I can't change the audio balance through the Properties menu, because there's no option to. This is not a problem with Windows, this issue has persisted across a clean install. Logitech G HUB does not have an option to change the balance.

    Bluetooth Headset Balance - FIX

Bluetooth Headphones/buds with built in Volume Controls use a feature called "Absolute Volume" to change the Master Volume on the PC over bluetooth instead of changing the the volume at the headset itself, this feature is poorly implemented in Windows and does NOT support any audio balance adjustments... the balance controls are locked to the master volume..

(Absolute volume should support balance setting, as it does in other environments like Android or Apple.)

Additionally There is no setting to enable or disable "Absolute Volume" in Windows 10 or 11.

the ONLY way to fix this issue is by hacking the registry, which is not advised for the average user. (always backup etc..)

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Bluetooth\Audio\AVRCP\CT

Create a 32-bit dword: DisableAbsoluteVolume and set it to 1

Restart, and the audio balance controls will now be supported correctly.

Disabling Absolute volume will stop the headphone Volume controls from changing the Windows master volume. The volume controls on the headset will now only control the headset volume. You will have to adjust the PC volume separately via the windows volume slider, or a volume control on your keyboard etc.

    Microsoft:

The Ideal fix would be to make the balance controls work with absolute volume. (you should also fix the mono balance issue too! Balance should set the speaker outputs AFTER the Mono is applied not the input balance levels before the audio is Mono'd).

The dirty fix would be to add a setting to allow absolute volume to be enabled or disabled. (without needing to hack in the registry)

    Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Change audio balance on G935 headset :p

    Audio Balance in Windows 10

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check-

    • Click on Start and then control panel.
    • Open the option of Sound and in the tab of
      playback
click on the windows displaying speakers. This enables the button properties, click on it.
    • This opens new window as Speakers properties, here click on the tab
      Levels.
    • Now click on the button Balance in front of the speaker volume bar.
    • This will open another small window of Balance. Here you may adjust the balance between the left and right speakers as per requirement.
Hope this helps. Let us know the results.

    Thanks,
