    I have had this issue since mid January and I originally thought this may have been a hardware issue like my power supply or graphics card was failing but I now think this is a software issue due to this only happening to two games Modern Warfare 2 and Elden Ring. I am still not sure though because when launching Elden Ring through Steam and not clicking the desktop Icon the game will run for up to 30 minutes before crashing like usual. I have verified the integrity of both games files and redownloaded Call of Duty twice. I originally was not getting this message that Microsoft Visual C++ 20

    Gaming and Random Crashes.


    Hi,

    After some research and failing to find any solution i`ve decided to find help, have a gaming laptop (don`t judge me) and it used to work pretty well, until the latest Witcher expansion, i would be gettting a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION everytime i tried to start the game, some driver updates later and now i`m randomly getting the same BSOD so far i've tried.

    • Updating GPU Driver.
    • DDU the Drivers and do a clean install.
    • running sfc/scannow

    Unfortunately my internet time is limited and i couldn`t find any more steps.

    Any help would be appreciatted, and sorry for the bad english.

    Crashing with certain games

    I have the identical issue as OP despite different hardware. Certain games crash within a few minutes while others are fine. Games that crash include Guardians of the Galaxy and Assassins Creed Origins.

    I'm using a AORUS GeForce RTX™ 3080 XTREME 10G (rev. 2.0) and the Event Viewer message is identical, except instead of Device\Video3 is says Device\Video9.

    I'm using 516.40 drivers and have already done a DDU. My next step is another DDU followed by year old drivers (466.47) listed on the AORUS GeForce RTX™ 3080 XTREME 10G (rev. 2.0) website. I don't see any VBIOS for the rev 2.0 version of the card.

    I can provide DXDIAG, MSCONFIG, or anything you think could help to diagnose this.
