Windows 10: Can't zoom or pan Microsoft LifeCam Cinema in Windows 10

There is no built-in software or updatable driver available for Windows 10 that allows control of the camera. In one or two third party applications such as GlobalMeet, these controls can be accessed through a settings menu, but unfortunately I can only do this during a meeting hosted by someone who has an account for that service. In Zoom and in Google Meets, there appear to be no such controls.


Is there an application out there, either Microsoft or third party, that will allow me to control my camera? Older versions of the Lifecam software don't work on Windows 10.

Webcam Settings (Pan / Tilt / Zoom) in Windows 10

I have a Microsoft LifeCam Cinema Webcam (https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/business/lifecam-cinema-for-business/6ch-00001).



I cannot control / adjust the webcam settings in UC soft-clients such as Zoom or WebEx (Pan / Tilt / Zoom / Contrast / Gamma / etc). However, with SfB (Skype for Business) I can adjust the Pan / Tilt / Zoom settings for the webcam but it’s within the Skype
application settings but not during video conferences (see screenshot below).



How do I control my webcam settings in Zoom or WebEx?



The webcam and PC have been updated with the most recent drivers and firmware. Additionally, Microsoft's website states that no additional software, firmware, or drivers are needed for the LifeCam Cinema. Unfortunately, Microsoft no longer publishes the
stand-alone LifeCam software for the LifeCam Cinema and it's not compatible with Windows 10. Even if I trying to “Run this program in compatibility mode”, Win 10 will alert me that the installation has been blocked since it’s a potential security risk. Also,
since I’m using my company-issued notebook, my options are limited (no registry edits, installation of “weirdware”, etc).



Prior to Win 10, this software was the central point of access to the webcam settings and provided enhanced functionality for video conference calls.

Hi Dale,

To install Microsoft Lifecam Cinema on your Windows 10 computer, follow the steps below:

• Insert the LifeCam Software disc in the CD/DVD-ROM drive, and then run the setup to start the
  Installation Wizard.
• Connect the USB cable of the LifeCam Cinema to the USB port when the software prompts you to. Follow the guided prompts in the Installation Wizard to complete the setup.
• Microsoft Lifecam Cinema should now be installed. Press the Windows key and search for
  Microsoft LifeCam to launch the program.

Microsoft LifeCam

Its not the Drivers that are the issue. The issue is WHERE can I download the DASHBOARD software so I can control Pan,

tilt, Zoom, Rite ligt, Right sound, Resolution, and recording options. The software installation disc that came with the Microsoft LIfecam Cinema simply will not install on

windows 10
