Windows 10: Can't set up Phone Link

I have a Galaxy S7 with Android 8.0.0 and Samsung Experience 9.0 and windows 10 Home 22H2 Build 19045.2604I have looked at all I think of the basic tech issues such as ensuring the two devices are on the same Wifi and signed into the same MS account, resetting and reinstalling apps and restarting devices, ensuring battery saver is not on and permissions are granted. I also have the Phone Link app set up in NordVpn to not use the VPN and I've tried with the VPN completely off.I can get the phone to say that it is linked to the PC and then I click done on both devices. Thanks so much. I will certainly follow your tutorial in the future. I think resetting did the trick, and I was also able to set a pin code.

Question. I am confused about one ongoing step: "Go to www.aka.ms/addComputer" in your browser." A search for this, and other similar url's suggested in the Phone LInk setup always ends up the same way, with a trip to nowhere.





Clicking in those types of links end up in a blank tab

 

Stop Windows 10 from asking to link phone to computer

Besides Group Policy, what other ways have you tried ?
Do you utilize Shared experiences, Share across devices ?

Unlink your phone from your PC running Windows 10, use these steps:

• Open Settings.
• Click on Phone.
• Click the Unlink this PC option. Unlink your phone from computer.
• Click the Home button.
• Click on Devices.
• Click on Bluetooth & other devices.
• Select your phone.
• Click the Remove device button.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
