  1. Can't move an app to external drive, keep getting 0x80073cf6 error


    I installed Affinity software from MSIX package.The installation process gave me no choice to install the software anywhere else than Program Files\WindowsApps on the system drive.However, as I don't have much free space on my system drive, I tried to move it to external drive using Settings > Apps > Apps & features.The process is showing progress bar like it was moving something but keeps finishing with blue alert and Error 0x80073cf6.Both my drives are encrypted with BitLocker different passwords and the external one unlocks automatically upon Windows login.

    when I try and update apps in the store they seem to download fine, then when installing them I get an error 0x80073CF6. Most of the apps that need to be updated are Microsoft apps, so uninstalling them and reinstalling them is not an option.

    The app is greyed out in the list so uninstalling the app does not work...

    Hi,

    The error code: 0x80073CF6 that you are seeing after performing the steps provided by
    Joe Men may be caused by some issues with the Windows Store cache. Let us go ahead and reset it by following the steps below:



    • Click on the Start button.
    • In the Search box, type WSReset.exe.
    • Once the program comes up, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
    • The Windows Store will open and you should get a confirmation message saying
      “The cache has for the Store was cleared. You can now browse the Store for apps.”
