Windows 10: Can't log in on HP elitebook, Windows 11: biometric and pin login fail

As of this morning I am no longer able to access my PC.The biometric login doesn't work. It's face recognition, and the led next to the camera doesn't light up as it usually does, suggesting it's not actually reading my face.I am also unable to access via PIN. In fact, when I press a key to access other log-in methods, I'm asked to type in my "password" not the PIN. I tried both my PIN and my Microsoft account password, and neither worked.When I type and send the password it loads for a few seconds then goes with the message "The password is incorrect. Try again".I've already restarted the P

Windows Hello & Pin Login NOT displaying on Login Screen

I appreciate your effort in trying to fix the issue with the missing features on login screen.

1. Which security software is installed on your device?
2. Is your device connected to domain network?

Please try the below suggested steps and check if the required sign in options are available from login screen.

Enable sign-in using PIN from group Policy editor

1. Open Local Group Policy Editor. To do so, type gpedit.msc
   in the run command (Windows + R key).
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon.
3. In the right pane, double click on Turn on convenience PIN sign-in policy
   to edit it.
4. Select Enabled option from Turn on convenience PIN sign-in window.
   
5. Click on Apply, OK and close the window.
6. Restart the device and check if the sign-in using PIN is available on the login screen.

Enable sign into Windows 10 using Biometrics from Local Group Policy editor

1. Open Local Group Policy Editor. To do so, type gpedit.msc
   in the run command (Windows + R key).
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Biometrics.
3. In the right pane of Biometrics, double click on Allow users to log on using biometrics.
4. Select Enabled option from Allow users to log on using biometrics window.
5. Click on Apply, OK and close the window.
6. Restart the device and check if the sign in using Biometrics is available on the login screen.

FingerPrint - Without Windows Hello PIN

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

As per your query, I like to inform you that; we cannot set the finger print Logon without setting the Windows hello pin. Windows hello pin will work as an alternative option to login to your computer through finger print Logon. Windows hello
pin will help you to login to your computer if you are unable to login to your computer through finger print authentication.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to enable finger print logon.

• 
  Press Windows key + r and type
  gpedit.msc and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Select Administrative Templates under
  Computer Configuration.
  
• 
  Select Windows Components.
  
• 
  Select Biometrics.
  

In Biometrics > consider that for a home system, you might enable the following:

1) Allow the use of biometrics

2) Allow users to log on using biometrics

PIN, Biometric login options greyed out - Lenovo IdeaPad V510-15LKB

We have a Windows 10 Pro Lenovo IdeaPad V510-15LKB Laptop, the GPO and registry settings both are the same: enable the convenience PIN login feature, but still greyed out on the control panel.

The windows 10 version is: 1803

The BIOS settings are correct.

I have read and understud the diferencies between the convenience PIN sign-in and the Windows Hello for Business features and the following articles, and i'm able to configure the gpo properly, becouse all other devices has the ability to configure the PIN
and biometric login features, but on the Lenovo can not.
