Windows 10: Can't locate Unarc.dll or Isdone.dll

Hello, all.


I've run into a bit of a problem.


Background:

I'm trying to install a game on a fresh-ish install of Windows 10, but the install gets to about 50% before I get this error:


Isdone.dll:


"An error occured while unpacking: Does not match checksum!

unarc.dll returned an error code: -12"


and states that a data.pak failed a CRC check.


I know the install files are good, as I've already installed them on another machine.

The machine in question was built from scratch with all new hardware, and diagnostics come back with no errors.


NOW for the issue:

When I try to verify either unarch.dll or isdone.dll, I get an error stating that the files can not be found.

I manually checked the sysWOW64 and System32 folders to make sure, and the files are not there.


I've also checked on the machine that successfully installed the game, and the files are not present, either.

I am at a complete loss, and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

DLL Missing

The problem is, that the required DLL is not actually even listed there.
There are just dozens of download adware links from the top to the bottom.

Try running the following in a cmd window.

regsvr32 unarc.dll

The error is related to not enough hard drive space. 76gb is a lot for a package holding compressed data.

DLL Missing

I actually posted the link for the "list of troubleshooting steps to resolve your boost_threads.dll problems" which is located half way down the page. I did not mean to promote any downloads.

Why don't I just go back and indicate that on my original post? That way there's access to the 'step-by-step' instructions, which are accessed via those green 'plus' signs next to the topics.
