Windows 10: Can't install software due to lack of key access

I run Windows 10 Pro on a Dell laptop. I tried to install some software Logos Bible Study, but I got the following message:I looked for that key in "regedit" but couldn't find it. I thought that the software would create any necessary keys, so I'm not sure what to do. I tried installing the software as Admin, but I got this message referencing a different key:How do I handle this situation, which I've never run into before?

Just install PlayOnLinux? Why did they make step 2 and 3 of this "tutorial"?

Anyway, looking at the supported software list for PlayOnLinux, D3 is a step in the right direction. Lack of gaming is a factor for a lot of people when deciding on an OS, if more recent games get ported it may help migrate them to their preferred choice.

 

Issues with accessing keyborad keys after installing Anniversary Update

Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the make and model of your computer?
• Is this issue confined to any specific application/ program on your computer?
• Have you tried using different keyboard and check if the issue persists?

Let us try the below troubleshooting steps to check if the issue persists with keyboard.

Step 1: I suggest you to run
Hardware and Devices troubleshooter as it checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.
• Click Next to run the
  Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

Step 2: Update the driver.

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboard.
• Right click
  on the Keyboard driver and click on
  Update driver software

Issue installing software due to CLSID error CLSID {4991D34B-80A1-4291-83B6-3328366B9097}

1. Is the issue specific to this tool software installation?
   
2. Is the PC connected to a Domain Network?
   

I can understand the situation must be difficult for you when the FTX Central tool software doesn't work as it should. Further, you may also want to know that this error 80070005 ‘Access is denied’ is basically a permission issue.

Method A: Suggest you to temporarily disable the firewall and any security software on the PC to check if that helps with the installation.

The steps to turn off a firewall or any security software depends on the particular firewall software you’re using. Check the specific documentation for your firewall software to learn how to turn it off.

Note: Make sure you turn it back on as soon as you can. Not having a firewall turned on makes your PC vulnerable.

Method B: Suggest you to enable the built-in admin account to check if that helps with the installation. Windows 10 automatically generates another super or elevated Administrator account during the installation and the
account is hidden by default due to security reasons.

1. Open CMD in admin mode. Click Start, type CMD.
   
2. Right-click on Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator option.
   
3. In the elevated Command Prompt, type the following command and then press Enter key.
   

‘Net user administrator /active:yes’.

1. Once this is done, close all open windows and restart the computer. This hidden Administer will now also appear on the login screen of Windows 10.
   

Note: To disable the built-in Administrator account, type ‘Net user administrator /active:no’ in the elevated Command Prompt.
