Windows 10: Cant enter recovery key id on Lenovo laptop

Cant enter recovery key id. Lenovo laptop only entering numbers not alphabet letters

The eight-digit key is the key ID that tells you what recovery key to use (imaged edited for security reasons...

Here you see the Key ID code and next to it is the corresponding recovery key. So if the codes E80024E, you'll need to find the corresponding key which here would be 16965-175505.... That's the 48-digit key you need to input. Hope that helps *Wink

 

Need recovery key- to Reset Win10 laptop

Laptop won't start window 10. Tried several times and it hangs with the dots stopping.

I'm at the Blue screen asking:

Enter the recovery key-to get going again.

It has the Recovery Key ID.. can't find the needed Recovery. On the page suggested

Recovery Key is wrong

Signed (attempted) on to the office laptop today and was prompted to enter the recovery key to get past BitLocker.

I visited the suggested website (Where to look for your BitLocker recovery key - Microsoft Support), signed into Microsoft and was given a recovery key that doesn't work. Upon further examination the key ID on my laptop does not match the recovery key ID and I don't know what
to do now.
