  1. Can't connect to shared drive connected to router

I have a TP-Link Archer GX90 gaming router with a Seagate 16TB portable hard drive connected to the router via the USB port. The router recognizes the hard drive and I have set the drive to be shared using the router's interface. I am able to access the drive over the network using my MacBook Pro but am unable to connect using my Windows pc. I am using an up to date copy of Windows 10 Pro. I have followed all instructions I've found on Tp-Link's support section and am still unable to connect. I am running Bitdefender on my windows PC and it has its own firewall. I tried disabling the fir

  2. Connecting to a shared drive attached to my router.

I recently found the need to "reset" Windows 10 after several years of operation. In doing so I lost the connection to a backup drive connected to my router. When I attempt to access the router directly I'm told that I have no internet access, which is
not the case, nor can I see other computers or devices on the network.

Any suggestions for solution to this issue will be appreciated.

Weird Router Stuff - Cannot Connect

I'm completely at a loss here.

In my house we connect through a router. This machine and two others are connected through it. However, for the life of me, I cannot get my laptop to connect to it. I've tried automatically finding the IP/DNS and specifying some IPs in the range given by the router manual, but to no avail.

If I specify the IPs, the connection shows as "Connected, 100mbps" but I can't access the Internet or (more worryingly) access the router at all. If I select automatically find IPs, as the router manual suggests, it doesn't work at all (I get a "limited or no connectivity" message).

What on earth is happening?? This is a new, fresh install of XP on the laptop so it can't be past connections causing a problem.

Help! *Frown Can't connect to shared drive connected to router :(

Can't connect to shared drive connected to router

Getting a router to handle more connections?

I have a NETGEAR WNR3500 that seems to be experiencing a similar issue. When I play TF2 for a while (and refresh the master server list that shows maybe 3-4,000 servers), I simply cannot connect to any servers until I pull the power plug. TF2 works fine when connected directly to my apartment's Ethernet connection. It's almost as if the router (maybe the NAT table) overflows and refuses any more connections until the router is power cycled.
